US SEC will Hold a Forum in May to Discuss Blockchain Tech and Digital Assets

[ChainDD report] March 16 (ChainDD) The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on March 15 that it will host a public forum at SEC’s Washington D.C. headquarters on May 31, to discuss distributed ledger technology (DLT) and digital assets.

The forum will be organized by Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology (Finhub) that was founded by SEC last year. SEC said it is the second fintech forum to be hosted by the agency, and will feature panelists from industry and academia, who will explore topics like initial coin offering, digital asset platforms, DLT innovations and how such technologies impact investors and markets.
