Analyst: SEC’s Charge Against EtherDelta is a Big Blow to Decentralized Exchange
[ChainDD report] November9 (ChainDD) In his tweet commented on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s recent charges against crypto trading platform EtherDelta, Crytocurrency analyst Joseph Young predicted that decentralized crypto exchanges will be charged for the distribution of unregistered securities in the US if they want to operate in the country.
Yong considered the charge as big blow to decentralized exchanges. “In the coming months, we will see how many of the "decentralized" exchanges are actually decentralized,” he added.
According to ChainDD’s previous brief news, announced settlement with Zachary Coburn,the founder of a digital token trading platform EtherDelta that was charged for its unregistration as a national securities exchange. This is SEC’s first enforcement action against such platform based on its finding.
